It's a new year! I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions. I mean, I already work out regularly, I eat pretty healthy for the most part. Soo... the thing that most bothers me that I need to do more of is Blog My Photography Sessions. I have a hoarding problem. I hoard some of my most favorite photos because I think to myself, I want to save these for the Blog, then I never do....! Like, such a waste. Some of my favorite sessions never get posted or shared because I'm "saving them" for a Blog post that never happens. So dumb. So that's my goal, blog my darn photo sessions.
So to kick it off, here is such a fun photo session I had New Year's Eve in Glamis, CA with my some of my favorite humans. Since us girls never get to get fancy or dressy New Year's Eve because we are always camping and full of sand out in the Sand Dunes, we thought it would be the best idea to get fancy and be dressy anyway. And you know what...? The guys were game too! I couldn't believe it!
Now I can't take all the credit for these. I handed my camera off to my little brother Kevin Coggin and my husband Lance for most of them. I wanted to be in the photos this time. I just set my camera setting and said, "you can't take too many, have at it!" We had the best time laughing and popping champagne and (biodegradable) confetti bombs. Most of the laughter was because we were freezing our fancy butts off. It was so cold and windy that day, we almost didn't do it. Luckily the wind died down a bit just in time for us to talk ourselves into it! We raced to the edge of the sand dunes to get some good shots while there was just enough light left through the overcast sky.
I love these photos so much. The best time, with the best people in our favorite place. Such amazing memories to last a lifetime! So another great New Year's Resolution is, that if you get a wild idea, a wild hair up your you know what.... DOOOO IIITTTT!!!!! Live...... Laugh..... LOVE!!! Make your memories be as fabulous as you can imagine them!
Happy 2019! Let's make it a good one!
